AROMATIK
12 Inch
31.01.06
three extremly fresh and delectable electro poplike grooves sounding different from each other.the first >arotmatik< begins with an short intro showing the main theme and clearing the way for a jumpin and kickin groove to give the track a psychic touch.in opposite of that >memories< stands for a trancy uplifting groove going forward and forward deep. the beauty in the last track is only at the beginning. seconds after you will be pulled down by a lazy, heavy and slowery dark groove we just cannot get enough of. xcellent

SUN / INNER VIEW
12 Inch
24.01.06
sun side- incredible tune laying snippets from deep disco classic >sun sun sun< by jackie over a classic nu groove style arrangement. no vocals here people, just a chunky drum being jabbed at by the occasional rainforest keys and long drawn out strings to smooth things out. inner view- an introspective fell on the housier vibe. lovely late night cool down record infused with classic jazz high piano keys solo and bassline chords. tip
tough techy breaks with building haunting synths gets things building, chuck in some great vocal snippets, and add a nice breakdown flip for tough beats and the stuttering screaming vocal sample just makes the crowd go crazy (sb)

12 Inch
13.12.05
a diverse, old schoolish yet modern techno record. a killer record we think! the a-side offers the club groover “first one” and the beautiful deep detroitish heitere gemüter . the b-side offers a re-relase: erfolgsgeblubber was released on morris audio citysport a year ago, but has been getting superb feedback (e.g. steve bug: thisis huge! ) and we just love this early warp styled bleeper! finishing off this well rounded ep, shaka comes up with some great jazzy electronic trickery called phalonmukka . great stuff for openminded freaks, and well worth checkin shaka s upcoming stuff on revolver and his remix of pan/tone s gringo grinder

POINT OF FAINTING
12 Inch
07.12.05
new wonder boy out of munich with an unbelievable 2 tracker, which reminds us a bit of the very best work of isole! mind you, that guy is just 17 years old and finishing school next year. but as professional as an highly experienced producer, with fresh crispy sounds and an unique driving arrangement. 'point of fainting' is actually a true story about a stranger calling up and whispering 'you gotta help us!' û scary thoughààbut with that great music on top just a genius and a break you will be quite irritated as a dj!
TIME FOR... ( REYNOLD RMX )
12 Inch
29.11.05
first 'love': a killer deep minimal groovy tune with a poppy synth line that just stays into your head forever… followed by reynold's remix (half of duplex100 and trenton’s owner). on b side 'sex' is just this outstanding electro tech house track, definitely the dance-floor treat of that record! it is fat. it grooves and drives… finally 'psychic kids' could actually be a dance remix of a boards of canadas tune… a very strange and atmospheric cut to end a set… or to start it ?
SUCRE (VOYAGER EP)
12 Inch
29.11.05
'voyager' perfectly takes you through different phases of tension and release starting with a irresistible build-up where just the distortion of a simple chord raises the electricity topped for even more intensity by frantic hi-hat action in jazz-drumming style. for 'sucre' he teams up once again with qzen who already refined 'sweat' on pokerflat and 'paranoia' (palette034) and gives another alluring performance with understated, teasing spoken words over this gliding, liquid cut. whos the sugar daddy now?

an-2 returns with the long awaited official follow up to his 2004 deep house classic nu boogie. again its the spine shivering cristalline deep house meltdown with heavy bass sounds and incredibly smashing break that rocks the cradle to its very excellence. the whole thing is contered by an elegantly slamming discofied comon factor version, just check out his recent playhouse compilation to know who's talking here. last not least an-2s 'way to the stars' is such a peak time bumpty killer by itself it normally deserves all the play on its own. 'back to house' un-official version part 1. to be continued folks

from a brief appearance on framed & formed 2 to a full-fletched techno ep on iron box music! rasmus hedlund impresses once again with his old-skool basic channel type techno. but not just chill and deep, but dance-floor jacking numbers that will impress anyone who is willing to bop their heads to great music but it wouldn't be an iron box release if deepness weren't represented. while oneside pumps like a pissed-off step mother, the other side explores the deep realm of techno, just like we've come accustomed from our friends in finland. watch out for rasmusà he brings the old back and makes it sound like it never left!!
GET DOWN / TONITE

break 3000 and adam kroll take quite some chances in naming their first collaboration 'get down' cause in the golden era of funk and disco every second track that was produced to 'just' get people on the went by this title ( a quick namecheck on allmusic.com confirms close to 300 entries ). well, our two protagonists surely had a few of those blueprints in mind as they clearly quote some of the main characterisitcs - handclaps, pulsating moroder style bassline, extra thick slap bass, robotic voice - mix them up with a few drops of acid, a rough guitar riff plus majestic paino chords and distill everything to a luiquid, sleek state-of-the-art house funker. the flip is more introspective and very atmospheric with darker, moody chords, yet the galloping square bassline and the omnipresent sharp highlight make sure that 'tonite' theres no parking on the dancefloor. when the players arrivea the club...beware

woody is finally back with the long await own new treat. unexpectedly open produced and very fresh sounding the two to long and intensely reduced tracks are immediately touching, yet just teasers of many more things to come from him soon. a1- put em up and b - 40/love go right back to the times of 'body music' taking its already classic tight sound spectrum but giving it a reduced stylish electronic appeal which makes 'put em up' a dangerously sublime peak time hymn and 40/love the timeless future afterhour classic we just cant get enough of. cool! played by ricardo villalobos ..

'seduction' is darker and bottom heavy. but the most outstanding track on this ep is defenitly 'taboo 2'. this is the kind of track that brings the party to another level! great electro disco-tech for everyone who likes to party

amidst the maelstrom of aliases adopted by detroits prodigious and prolific mmaatttthheeww ddeeaarr, audion is undoubtedly the grittiest -- a dark representation of dears id and a brain undone. the singles kisses, the pongand just fuckinghave earned immense praise for their serrated approach to heavy 4/4 techno, bringing untamed synths and raucous beats into a devastating melange. all three songs appear on the suckfish full-length alongside eight other dancefloor burners that also work on the listening/psychedelic level, making for one of dears strongest and most distinctive releases to date
kalle-markus mätäsjarvi aka kalle-m in coop with his tampere colleague dj shuffle results an energetic tune called 'kepardi', which is the finnish meaning for hunting-leopard. michael diekmann, known from his remix for jussi-pekkas 'the snake' (wr02) reworked 'kepardi' on the flipside, concentrating more on the functionality. this time we don't want to spend much words on the description of the track - its just hot, sounds like detroit and has the energy of a prey. this is what we call trance-music
